You can have a direct, positive impact on Hurricane Harvey victims in Rockport, TX.

My friend Liz owns a natural parenting store called Go Baby Go in San Antonio. Her parents live in Rockport, TX – I’ve stayed at their home. Rockport took a direct hit from Hurricane Harvey. The entire town and county is under evacuation orders and virtually every building in the community has some kind of damage.

I have spoken with Liz about how the Green Bambino community can help. She has two requests:

1. Home Depot or Visa/Mastercard gift cards. Rebuilding the community will take months or longer. Gift cards will help ease the financial burden of buying plywood, portable generators, gloves, clean up supplies, etc.

2. Thank you notes for the Rockport VOLUNTEER Fire department. The RVFD has committed fully to the search and rescue of trapped residents and the cleanup efforts for those who cannot help themselves. As happens in many emergencies, many of the volunteer firefighters have lost their own homes in this disaster or do not have day jobs to return to once the crisis is over.

If you can help in either way, please bring your donations to Green Bambino. We will collect the donations and mail them directly to Liz at Go Baby Go. She is traveling to Rockport weekly to help her parents repair their home and rebuild the homes of their neighbors.

Let’s show Rockport what the Oklahoma standard looks like.
